Battle.net characters can have multiple corpses, but only the corpse with the most valuable items (total value of the items on the corpse, not counting gold) will be saved when the user chooses to Save & Exit the game. Any items on additional corpses will be lost when you Save & Exit.
Don't leave items or gold lying on the ground any longer than necessary. If at any time you get disconnected from Battle.net while items are still on the ground, there is no guarantee the items will remain when you rejoin the game. In most cases a disconnection will result in the loss of any items left on the ground.
If you have ever downloaded a 3rd-party program, such as a trainer, cheat, or hack, please be aware that most of these programs install a type of back door or Trojan virus into your system. This allows others to get your password and other important information from your system.

The Realm scans for duplicated items and may delete any duplicates that it finds. You might have traded for a duplicated item and it may have been deleted by our servers. Unfortunately there is no way to tell if an item is duplicated.
In addition, if someone is able to guess your password, that person can log on with your account, use the characters on it and take those characters' items. Although unexplained lost items can often be attributed to the reasons above, we do look into reports of players losing items mysteriously. Although we cannot restore lost items, if you do not feel that your loss of items was due to the reasons above then please respond to this email with the subject line "Lost items/ No Corpse" and tell us what happened. Explain what you lost, and what happened leading up to the time that you found the items gone. Also include your account name, character name, which realm you were on, and approximately what time and date the items disappeared.
